OUR MISSION IS TO HONOR OUR MILITARY, VETERANS, FIRST RESPONDERS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN MIND, BODY AND SOUL.

WE FOLLOW THE INTUITIVE AMERICAN SENSE TO SERVE, PROTECT AND CARE
FOR OTHERS.

The AWA is dedicated to honoring, aiding and supporting the Military, Veterans and First Responders who uphold the principles of our country and have chosen to unselfishly serve others and effect positive change in society. We recognize that the American Fighting Spirit is a cornerstone in the cultural foundation of our Nation, and that it continues to be a force for good.

We seek to promote American values through the unselfish service to others and future generations. We also focus on the preparation of transitioning Special Operations Forces, Operators (Navy SEALs, Army Green Berets, Delta Force, Army Rangers & Marine Raiders) and Combat Veterans for a civilian life of purpose while preparing them to “give-back” to their communities.

The Mind, Body and Soul are the three pillars of life that holistically complete an individual. Each pillar needs to be strengthened, balanced and complete to live a healthy and full life.

MIND

SCHOLARSHIPS

We grant scholarships and provide mentorship opportunities to transitioning military personnel.

BODY

CONTINUING SERVICE

We provide opportunities for our service members to continue their calling to serve others in their community.

SOUL

PROGRAMS

Our faith-based programs in the mountains are designed to facilitate the growth and strengthening of the soul.

Prolonged exposure to stress and physical duress in high-risk careers produces substantial wear and tear on individuals, marriages, and families across the country. Over time, the cumulative strain magnified by occupational stress and exposure to trauma negatively impacts the mind, body and souls of our nation’s warriors resulting in extremely high levels of chemical addiction, mental illness, abnormal divorce rates and increased rates of suicide.

On average, 22 military and veterans commit suicide every day, while 150 peace officers take their own lives every year. AWA has designed specific programs to combat these issues and prepare our military, veterans and first responders for a life of continued service to others outside of their primary duties.

About Our Programs

The AWA provides restorative 5-day Men's and Women’s Programs in the mountains of Colorado, California, and Georgia for our military, veterans, and first responders. These faith-based programs are designed to heal the moral injuries sustained while serving our country and communities and allow warriors to rest and repair their souls.

Through our faith-based curriculum, group talk therapy, outdoor activities, and spiritual support, we help warriors confront and overcome the moral injuries they carry. Our programs aim to equip them with the tools to build spiritual strength and resiliency and create a sense of community and purpose beyond their service duties.
