This is AWA’s highest academic scholarship, awarded to former Special Operations Forces (SOF) or combat veterans accepted into top-tier academic institutions. This includes:

This tier exists to bridge the gap between the G.I. Bill and the real costs of completing a degree, trade certification, or vocational program. Many veterans face out-of-pocket expenses in the final year of their degree or during specialized training when G.I. Bill benefits run out.
